Documentation Required for Releasing a Student from Class

Option 1 – Email (Preferred Method):
Parents/guardians should email the NHHS Attendance Inbox using the email address on file.

• The Attendance Office will call the student out of class at the designated dismissal time.

Option 2 – Student In Person:
Students may bring a signed note to the Attendance Office before school.

• The Attendance Office will call the student out of class at the designated dismissal time.

Parent/Guardian In Person:
Parents/guardians may come to the Attendance Office to sign out their student at any time during the school day.

• A valid ID is required each time you sign out your student.

• If a student is leaving with someone other than a parent/guardian or designated emergency contact, an email must be sent in advance to the NHHS Attendance Inbox. The individual picking up the student must also provide a valid ID.

Required Information for All Notes/Emails:

• Date

• Student’s full legal name

• Student ID number

• Student grade

• Time student should be dismissed

• Parent/guardian signature (for written notes only)
