For the safety of our students, students cannot be released by phone call.

All attendance emails must be sent to NHattendance@leanderisd.org.

How to Request an Early Release

Option 1: Email — Preferred Method

A parent or guardian should email NHattendance@leanderisd.org from the email address on file. 

The Attendance Office will call the student out of class at the requested dismissal time. 

Please inlclude the following: 

• Student’s full legal name

• Student ID number

• Grade level

• Date of dismissal

• Requested dismissal time

Option 2: Send a Written Note

The student may bring a signed note to the Attendance Office before school. The Attendance Office will call the student out of class at the requested dismissal time.

Please inlclude the following: 

• Student’s full legal name

• Student ID number

• Grade level

• Date of dismissal

• Requested dismissal time

• Parent or guardian signature (written notes only)

Option 3: Sign the Student Out in Person

A parent or guardian may come to the Attendance Office to sign out the student. A valid photo ID is required every time.

If someone other than the student’s parent, guardian, or designated emergency contact will be picking up the student:

A parent or guardian must email the Attendance Office in advance.

The person picking up the student must present a valid photo ID.
