Important Dates
New Hope High School Summer Hours of Operation
New Hope High School will be open Mondays - Thursdays throughout the summer with the exception of the week of July 19th through July 23rd.

Due to limited staffing and various scheduled meetings and workshops it is in your best interest to call before making a trip to our campus.

Please call NHHS principal, Harold Seifert, at 570-2210, up until July 15th with inquiries. From July 26th until the start of school, please call Laura Bauer, NHHS administrative assistant and registrar, at 570-2211.


First Day of 2010-2011 School Year is August 23, 2010
Welcome Back! Current NHHS students will be receiving a letter and other necessary paperwork by mid August in preparation to start the new school year.

Other LISD 11th and 12th grade students who have applied, completed the interview process, and are now on the waiting list for Fall 2010 will also receive letters by mid August informing them of their status.

FREE TAKS Prep Academy

The LISD FREE TAKS Academies have proven to be very successful in helping former students prepare to pass Exit Level TAKS exams. If you will be retaking the Exit TAKS exams in July then without a doubt you want to attend these academy sessions.

ALL Academy Sessions are for all LISD students and will be held at Rouse High School. You are STRONGLY encouraged to attend!

Time of day for all sessions: 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

English Language Arts: July 12th

Math: June 22nd and 29th.
Math: July 6th and 13th.

Science: July 8th and 14th.

Social Studies: July 15th.
Financial Aid
NOW is the time to be completing Free Application for Federal Student Aide (FAFSA). This information is based on the student and parents' 2009 Tax Return information and is used to determine financial aide monies for college Fall 2010-July 2011.

Curious about becoming a NHHS student?
Any LISD high school student who meets the below criteria and is interested in applying to NHHS should start this process as soon as possible with his or her current LISD HS campus counselor.

  • Are you currently enrolled and attending one of Leander ISD's high schools?
  • Are you interested in applying to New Hope HS?
  • Do you or will you have at least 13 credits or more by the time you apply to NHHS?
  • Are you at least 16 years old?
  • Will your attendance hours owed be recovered and credits restored by the time you apply to NHHS?
  • Can you or have you demonstrated reading and math skills at a 9th grade level or higher?
  • Do you have an academic and/or life circumstance need in which you think an alternative, self paced, learning environment might better serve you?
  • Are you committed to earning your high school diploma?

    If you answered yes to ALL the above, then perhaps you and one of your parents would like to attend a NHHS general information session hosted at NHHS campus or begin talking to your current LISD campus counselor for more information.

  • ACC College Connection Scholarships
    An opportunity for 2011 seniors who have a 2.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale, completed FAFSA forms and have completed the enrollment process for Austin Community College. Award amount $2500 for tuition and fees. This amount goes a long, long way at ACC!
